House Rules

★ ANIMALS★ Neah. I love animals, but having animal people means that non-animal people are put off or just can't tolerate it due to allergies or bad smells. Sorry. It's a no for now. ★ NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ★ There is technology that alerts when the number of guests are exceeded and when noise ordinances are exceeded. So ... no loud parties or there might be extra cleaning fees and instant termination without refund. ★ MAXIMUM GUESTS ★ Without expressed written consent, anyone who comes onto the listing grounds is a guest and is counted towards the number of guests on your reservation. You exceed that number on any day ... that'll be $50 per person, per day/night penalty. This is not overnighters ... this on the premises. Your stay can be terminated, without refund, if you exceed the maximum occupancy. No parties again. ★ LATE CHECKOUT ★ Check out is by 11:00 am. There are no exceptions without expressed written consent. With the exception of a 15 minute grace period, there will be an additional $50 fee for every hour (partial or full) you occupy the space after 11:00 am. We are always booked and there is a 99% chance we have someone coming on the same day you are leaving ... so the cleaning magicians need enough time to do their magic! EXAMPLES: If you leave by 11:10 a.m., then no penalty. Leave by 11:55 a.m., then a $50 penalty will be incurred. Leave by 12:30 p.m., then a $100 penalty will be incurred. ★ LATE CHECKOUT AFTER 3:00 PM ★ If you are still occupying beyond 3:00 pm check-out day, without prior written consent, you will be charged a penalty of double the daily rate and face additional sanctions. ★ SMOKING ★ No smoking inside; however, outside is acceptable if you discard of your items appropriately. Any evidence of smoking inside will result in an automatic $100 minimum charge for smoke smell removal remediation, which higher amounts incurring for cases of extreme odor. ★ KITCHEN ★ Help yourself to anything in the kitchen. We supply tea, coffee, creamers and lots of cooking utensils. Other than a few things left in the sink ... if there is an excessive amount of unclean dishes, pots, pans, or utensils, you are lazy slob and might incur additional cleaning fees. Don't be a lazy slob. :-/ ★ PARKING ★ You are allowed a single parking space to the right side of the driveway. I sometimes park a car on the left side, so make sure you pull up enough to accommodate 2 cars. There is also always plenty of free street parking right in front of the house. ★ EATING AND DRINKING ★ Don’t eat or drink in the bedroom. Enjoy these things in the dining room or patio. ★ TRASH ★ If you have any trash, you can dispose of it using the 3 large cans on the driveway near the large back gate. ★ FURNITURE ★ Take care of the furnishings. You will be required to pay for damages that exceed your security deposit. Also, don’t rearrange the furniture. ★ ELECTRONICS ★ Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and any electronics when you leave. ★ NOISE ★ You must keep noise to a minimum during the hours of 11pm to 7am. ★ LOCK UP: ★ Don’t forget to close the windows and lock the door when you leave. ★ REPORT DAMAGE ★ Report any damages and/or breakages in a reasonably timely manner. Damages exceeding the security deposit amount must be paid by guests and will be reported to the platform.

This is our second time staying at Mark's place for a week and it's great! Plenty of space for our family of four, easy driveway parking, lots of amenities and very clear instructions, and great location with easy access to Venice and Santa Monica. Mark is a responsive and proactive host.

We absolutely loved this place! It was beautiful and in a great location — very close to excellent restaurants and the beach, which made everything so convenient. The house is very modern, and the rooms are spacious, cozy, and extremely comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Mark is a fantastic host and my family & I absolutely loved the stay. House is close to Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier and Hollywood. If we are visit LA again, we would love to stay again. Thank you Mark.

Mark’s place was stunning, his home is very spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. He also has multiple desks set up, which make it easy for people to work remotely. The place is beautiful, and Mark was a wonderful host.

There are many ways to get around from this space. We have many pay to use bikes and scooters all over. There is a bus stop 1/2 block down that will take you to all parts of Los Angeles.
